POSTPARTUM: A Horror Novel

Coming Summer 2026

Nine months pregnant, a young woman leaves behind the Chicago neighborhood she loves—the bookstores, bakeries, crowded sidewalks, and walks along Lake Michigan—to follow her husband to a small Oklahoma town for his new job.

The old house waiting for them is beautiful.
The town is welcoming.
And the silence is unbearable.

After the baby is born, loneliness begins to twist into something darker. Sleepless nights blur into paranoia. She hears footsteps in empty rooms. The neighbors seem frightened of the house, though no one will explain why. And when she discovers the family who lived there before her disappeared without a trace, she becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth.

But postpartum depression has already begun to unravel her sense of reality.

Is the house haunted?
Is the town hiding something?
Or is she losing her mind?
